The long wait for the HBO’s fantasy drama continues. The Game of Thrones season 7 release date has been announced [UPDATE], but it is still later than ever. Fans are eagerly waiting for the GoT season 7 launch for quite a long time now. However, it is confirmed that the next season of Game of Thrones will come out soon.
In the real world too, we are facing the hard days of winter. The filming of Game of Thrones season 7 is undergoing and yet to finalize with the promotions. It is the first time when the actual filming is going on during the winter to take and give the real feel. Thus, the filming has been adjusted accordingly. Moreover, this seventh season of GOT will be shorter than previous seasons. The fantasy show is nearing its conclusion.
Game Of Thrones Season 7 Release Date: July 16, 2017
The earlier seasons of GameofThrones have always premiered in the spring time. But, this time the show’s old saying “winter is coming” is finally going to be true. This season will make quite a difference in every sense. First of them is that the shooting was shifted a few months back.
However, it doesn’t really matter in locales like Dorne (Spain) and the Wall & Beyond (Iceland), but matters in locations like King’s Landing, the Riverlands, and the Iron Islands. The fans will get to notice some more things differently. Game of Thrones season 7 premiere is to take place in summer 2017 (July 16, 2017 to be precise).
The cold weather to be shown in the show has been set to give the feeling of a much darker and more violent season than the past, GoT ever had till the sixth installment. After a few years of break under the relatively stable rule of Lannisters, the situation starts to become worse and worse.
It is because the king is dead already and that without any heir. Following the developments in the King’s Landing, the North has declared itself free from any rule, and the Drone and Reach are about to turn into rebellions against them.
Apart from it, the Night King and Daenerys both are going to invade and win Westeros. It’s because both of them want to rule the Iron Throne. Both of them have far superior devastating and destructive army than of the others combined. Moreover, they are carrying magical beasts with them to cause the destruction to the par level. If any of them invades the Westeros, it will be the worse time for the ordinary natives and the doomed Queen Cersei.
But, to watch any of the above, we have a considerable time to wait for it. This long time may prove fruitful to George RR Martin as he will get an extra time to finish the Winds of Winter considering his writing speed. It is very much possible to take place before the Game of Thrones 7’s premiere.
As the show is nearing its conclusion, we have just thirteen episodes between the next two seasons. And it’s very disappointing in a way. However, we can hope HBO to produce its prequels to keep the fans engaged in Westeros. But, it seems to be a very long time until then even if it happens.
The inevitable HBO prequel will take quite a long time to occur in reality. Until the summers, we can just wait and watch the speculations, spoilers, rumors, updates, and news regarding the Game of Thrones. It’s a good thing that our seasons turn faster than the ones in the show.
