HBO has proved itself good in keeping secrets regarding the Game of Thrones season 8. The network has been successful in maintaining the information about the upcoming installment under wraps. But, it seems that the network has accidentally leaked the full cast list of GoT season 8 episode 1.
HBO revealed that one major character will not be seen in the Game of Thrones season 8 premiere episode. The listing came on the official HBO website last week, but it has been removed now. The list contained more than 30 names for the upcoming season’s premiere.
Among the main characters/cast like Peter Dinklage (Tyrion), Nokolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime), Lena Heady (Cersei Lannister), etc. are all returning to reprise their respective roles. The list had two surprising names in it. They were Kristofer Hivju (Tormund) and Richard Dormer (Beric Dondarrion). They were last seen at The Wall when the Night King attacked it.
The strange thing was that the name of Vladimir Furdik who plays the cold killer king, the Night King, doesn’t appear on the listing. How will the season premiere without featuring the show’s biggest antagonist in the first episode?
Though the listing appeared on the official website of HBO, there may have been a mistake in the listing too. However, the length of the first episode is going to exact one hour. It is sufficient to thrown things into question.
Are you literally going to take the listing as true? The huge list of names suggest that this premiere would be like other seasons’ premieres, a quick catch-up of where all the main characters are and their ambitions for the season.
Game of Thrones season 8 release date has been finalized to return in April 2019. Then, it will live stream and you can watch it online on HBO and Sky Atlantic.
